With the news earlier this week that there’s a new Maps album on the way, I’ve been a-wandering down Memory Lane. This song reminds me of the really early days of my relationship with my boyfriend. It’s music for nerds to fall in love to :)

Personally, I can’t believe we’ve reached 2011 and are still even having debates around abortion. A lot of press is focussed on the way abortion is treated in the States (terribly; a woman is just a baby-making machine to some people) but here in the UK abortion is much debated and not as accessible as it should be, and I genuinely live in fear that despite Nadine Dorrie’s defeat earlier this year, the Coalition government may yet come after abortion, probably under the whole umbrella of dismantling the NHS.

These new colours from Models Own are seriously lush. Iridescent like the shell and wings of beetles, they are pretty and hard-edged at the same time. I am basically frothing at the mouth at the idea of owning at least three of these bad boys.
